TERESA SCHERFFIUS, PT, OCS
Graduated from the University of Louisville in 1993. She is certified in the specialty of orthopedics and has experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute care, home health as well as industrial rehab. Teresa established her private practice in the fall of 2000, in order to provide individual, quality, client- based care to the Louisville area. Teresa has offered and exercise program tailored for senior citizens to several area church groups over the past 8 years.
JANA LYONS, PTA
Began working for us in early October 2005. She graduated from Jefferson Community College in 1982. With more than 25 years’ experience in home health, acute care and rehab, she specializes in functionally based rehab to improve the quality of life in the geriatric population. Jana also has a strong background in total joint rehabilitation, balance and strength training.
TESSA PUCKETT, PT
Tessa earned her doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Bellarmine University in 2011. She is certified in Integrated Trigger Point Dry Needling for the upper and lower quarter. She is active in the Louisville Soccer community and enjoys treating the unexpected slip and fall, competitive sporting injuries and recreational sporting injuries.
WHITNEY ENSOR, PT DPT,WCS
Whitney graduated with her BHS-Physical Therapy degree from the University of Louisville in 1994, earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University in 2012, and her Women’s Health Specialist Certification in 2014. She has practiced in numerous settings treating pelvic health conditions, has authored peer-reviewed publications and a book chapter on Women’s Health, and currently serves as part time faculty for the Bellarmine University Doctor of Physical Therapy program, teaching and guest lecturing on Women’s Health and related topics. An avid marathoner and fitness enthusiast, she combines her clinical expertise and passion for wellness to bring quality care to her clientele, with a special interest in conditions related to pelvic floor dysfunction and changes across the female lifespan. She looks forward to adding treatment for men and women experiencing bowl and bladder dysfunction such as urgency, incontinence and constipation, pelvic pain, and pregnancy related and postnatal conditions to our current list of services offered.
MELISSA W. PIERIE, OTR/L, CHT
Melissa Pierie is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 1991. She earned her certification in Hand Therapy in 2001. She has experience working with adult and pediatric hand and upper extremity disabilities and injuries, including splint construction for specific problems. Her goal is to return a client to most functional use for work, leisure and self-care activities.
JUDI CONLIN, PERSONAL FITNESS TRAINER
Judi Conlin wears many hats in our organization: Medically Oriented Gym Director, Personal Trainer, Physical Therapy Technician and our liaison with the local YMCA. An early interest in dance, led Judi to a Dance minor from Western Kentucky University. She has enjoyed a diverse career that has included activity director for a senior citizen center, aerobic dance instructor and fitness trainer. Judi joined Physical Therapy Group in 2006 as a Personal Trainer. She has used her time with us to expand her personal training skills with certification through W.I.T.S (World Instructor Training School) at Bellarmine University along with advanced study and experience to assist the medically compromised population.
MILLIE HUBNER, PERSONAL FITNESS TRAINER
Millie received her Personal Fitness Training through ACE in 2012 and has worked with Physical Therapy Group for about 5 years. She currently works at the YMCA as a personal fitness trainer and teaches land classes. She is also a yoga instructor at Yoga Fitness. On her off time she volunteers with WAGS therapy dogs.
SUE COURTNEY, THERAPIST
Sue brings over 30 years of outpatient experience to Bardstown Road Physical Therapy. She received her BS degree in Physical Therapy in Florida and has practiced in Texas, New Mexico, Tennessee, Georgia and now Kentucky. Her experiences in different states has helped her to develop a holistic approach to patient care using a variety of tools and methods to achieve best patient results. She appreciates the value of continuing education and has attended many courses to further her experience.
Learning to love wherever she lives, Sue has gone from beachcomber to cycling, hiking and downhill skiing. She looks forward to all Louisville and the surrounding areas have to offer including the Indy 500, Kentucky Derby and cycling in the Parklands with her husband of 30 years.
DANIELLE RAMERIZ, THERAPIST
Has been a member of our team since August 2015. Danielle’s first love is athletics. She obtained her Athletic Training certification in 2007 which was followed by a Master’s degree in Health & Human Performance from Austin P State University in 2009. Never one to let grass grow under her feet, she obtained her license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in 2013. Danielle loves working with all age groups and excels in helping her patients return to the things they need to do for work and love to do for sport and recreation. When Danielle is not working, her time is spent raising 2 active your boys.
